Milk Soaked Semolina Cake (Turkish Revani Recipe)
This milk soaked semolina cake is a soft Turkish-style dessert made with semolina and finished with a sweet milk syrup for an incredibly moist and tender texture.

Ingredients
Instructions
- Add the milk and sugar for the syrup to a saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Do not let the mixture boil, then set it aside to cool completely.
- Add the eggs, sugar, milk, and vegetable oil to a large mixing bowl and whisk until evenly combined.
- Add the semolina, flour, baking powder, and vanilla. Mix until you have a smooth, evenly combined batter with no dry pockets remaining.
- Lightly grease a baking dish, then pour in the batter and spread it into an even layer.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for about 30 minutes, or until the cake is set and evenly golden on top.
- Remove the cake from the oven and, while it is still hot, slowly pour the completely cooled milk syrup over the surface so it can absorb evenly.
- Let the cake absorb the milk syrup, then refrigerate it for a few hours until completely chilled and the texture becomes soft and moist.
- Cut the chilled cake into squares and serve cold. Garnish with crushed pistachios or another topping if desired.
