  • 1 packet baking powder

  • Almonds (for topping)

For the syrup:

  • 2 1/2 cups water

  • 2 cups sugar

  • A few drops of lemon juice

  1. Prepare the syrup first by boiling water and sugar. Add lemon juice and let it cool completely.

  2. In a bowl, mix oil, yogurt, sugar, vanilla, and baking powder.

  3. Add semolina and flour, then mix until smooth.

  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.

  5. Shape and decorate with almonds.

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden.
