Stuffed Burger Buns
These stuffed burger buns combine soft homemade bread with a juicy meat filling, caramelized onions, pickles, and melted cheese, all baked until golden for an easy homemade dinner or party meal.

Ingredients
Instructions
- Add the flour, warm water, milk, egg, sugar, and yeast to a large mixing bowl. Mix until a rough dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough until it begins to become smooth, then add the butter and continue kneading until the butter is fully incorporated and the dough is soft and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes, or until noticeably puffed.
- Transfer the risen dough to the work surface and divide it into 5–6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a smooth ball.
- Take one dough portion at a time and gently flatten it into a round, leaving enough dough around the edges to close over the filling.
- Add cooked beef, caramelized onions, pickles, and cheddar cheese to the center of each dough round. Keep the filling concentrated in the middle and avoid overfilling.
- Bring the edges of the dough up around the filling and pinch them together firmly to seal. Turn each bun seam-side down and gently reshape it into a round bun.
- Arrange the filled buns on a parchment-lined baking tray. Brush the tops with egg yolk and sprinkle with black cumin seeds if using.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) until the buns are deeply golden and the dough is completely baked through, about 20–25 minutes depending on their size.
- Let the stuffed buns rest for a few minutes after baking, then serve warm while the cheese inside is still melted.
