Turkish Flatbread Burger
This Turkish flatbread burger is made with soft bazlama filled with seasoned ground beef, sautéed peppers and onion, a flavorful tomato-pepper sauce, and plenty of melted cheese, then toasted in a pan until crisp and golden.

Ingredients
Instructions
- Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned.
- Add the chopped onion, red pepper, and green pepper to the browned beef. Continue cooking until the vegetables soften while still keeping a little texture.
- Season the beef and vegetables with salt, black pepper, cumin, and red pepper flakes. Stir well, then remove the filling from the heat once everything is cooked through.
- Mix the pepper paste, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and a little olive oil until you have a smooth, spreadable sauce.
- Slice the bazlama horizontally through the middle to create a top and bottom half.
- Place the bottom half of the bazlama in a large pan over low heat. Spread the prepared tomato and pepper paste sauce evenly over the bread.
- Spoon the cooked ground beef and vegetable mixture evenly over the sauced flatbread.
- Top the beef mixture generously with grated kasar cheese and cheddar, distributing the cheese evenly so every portion becomes melty.
- Place the second half of the bazlama on top and press it down gently to hold the filling together.
- Cook over low heat until the bottom is golden and crisp and the cheese has melted. Carefully turn the stuffed flatbread if needed and toast the other side until evenly golden.
- Transfer the flatbread burger to a board, let it rest briefly, then slice and serve while the bread is crisp and the cheese is still hot and melted.
