  • 500 g cubed beef

  • 2 medium onions

  • 2 carrots

  • 2 cups rice

  • 1 whole garlic head

  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • Butter

👩‍🍳 How to Make Uzbek Pilaf

  1. In a large pot, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until softened.

  2. Add sliced carrots and continue cooking until slightly tender.

  3. Add the cooked beef along with salt, black pepper, and cumin.

  4. Spread the rice evenly over the mixture without stirring.

  5. Make a few small holes in the rice and place the whole garlic head in the center.

  6. Pour in 4 cups of hot water (or a mix of water and beef broth).

  7. Cook until the rice absorbs the liquid completely. 

Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before carefully flipping and serving.
